It's a beautiful room! The chairs you attached are quite different in style from other pieces in the room (table, chandelier, shutters). Did you specifically want to finish the room with chairs that would give it a fun eclectic vibe? Personally I would stick with the traditional style for the chairs and any other expensive item.

Food, flowers, artwork, cushion could give a 'pop' on the occasions when you want to mix it up.

No to the built in bench. That's the first thing. After that? The slip you chose or have some fun and glam......

First of all, love the space and what you've added so far. I like the idea of a blush pink chair (does it coordinate with your kitchen?) and the ones in the first photo are nice, but I like chairs with arms. I would not do the bench as they are not comfortable and once the bench is installed you will likely find that once the table is put in the right place for the bench then the chandelier is not aligned. The neat freak in me says no to white slipcovers in an area that will get frequent use. Yes they can be washed but do you really want to do that every week? Plus they look too heavy; I think chairs with visible legs would fit your space better visually. Keep us posted with photos once you decide.

Hi, Sandra, pretty room ... can you post pictures of the rest of the room and how it relates to rooms adjoining? And how the rest of your house is decorated? We can all post various chairs, but it’s in a vacuum. Getting more context is needed for the best suggestions. :)

IMO a breakfast nook is acasual space and certainly no upholstered choirs that can’t be used by all ages and easy to clean. IMO the light fixture is way too ornate too and IMO no bench at any table ever. I do agree we need to see the surrounding spaces and also some info as to who will be using the space and do you have a counter with stools etc.

What is IMO? I do not have counter stools yet. I don’t want pink chairs but like the style only of the first picture. Was thinking ivory leather.still not done decorating but this is the layout and chandelier of my living room .

I really like the ones in Maureen’s third picture, as they’d tie so many elements of the rooms together.

Don’t change your chandelier just because one designer said to do that. If you picked it out because you love it, then keep it and love it!

I love my chandelier but love my table more that I think I’m limited in the chair I can get because of the chandelier. I wanted a more mid century chair but don’t think it will go well with my chandelier. I am ok parting ways with chandelier. I love a lot of designers that I think I mix everything. I’m not good with sticking with one style

I like the slipcovered white chairs that you posted and I think they can work with your chandelier and table... I like the casual look with the bling. to me it works together and works with the kitchen.

Having now seen photos of other connecting rooms, which are lovely by the way, I think you should choose chairs that are traditional or timeless. Definitely not glam (sorry about my earlier post); and not necessarily mid-century.

The nook table is traditional. Your kitchen cabinets, your dining table and dining table chairs are quite traditional (or timeless). Likewise the lights you have over the kitchen counter and dining table, and the lamp in your lounge area.

Could you use the chandelier in another room? It's beautiful and traditional, but also very formal so quite eccentric for a breakfast nook. I don't get the sense from your photos that you are decorating the rest of the house with a quirky / eccentric vibe.

For the nook, what about a pendant glass light that ties in with the lights over your kitchen counter? Elegant but understated.

I’d get the chairs first and then decide about your chandelier, but it can work with the right chairs and accessories and you could add a rug as well

I love those chairs but I was thinking they are hard to clean. That’s why I was thinking leather or the wood.

I would not do upholstered chairs in a breakfast room. I don't know where your little one eats every day, but with small (or even big) children, wood or leather would be more efficient. Your style seems to lean toward an updated traditional look, and I would try to use that vibe for your chairs, but I would also keep them with fairly simple lines (dusting, cleaning oatmeal, spilled juice, etc. is a pain when there is a lot of detail). Chandelier? A bit "blingy" for a casual space, but if you love it, then it works...our homes should showcase things that make us smile!

The picture was more to show that with the right chairs your chandelier will be fine.

There are so many styles that will work and maybe consider black wood. One below could be stunning with your table, but don’t know your budget. If not within budget, I’m sure you can find a similar style for less. Attaching link in case you liked.
