There should be a special label on weirdly elongated psychotic brick tile.

You may want to consider changing out the tile. That is a cheaper issue to solve and that style is out of favor at the moment.

Can you post of pic from further away? Hard to get perspective on the room. I don't hate it - would like to see it with the cabinets. If I had to change one thing - I would change the backsplash - it is cheaper to change. Sit with it and see how you feel. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Really if you don’t like it change it that is really the only help you can expect from here. The backsplash will be the easy and cheaper fix.
