We are building out a master suite and almost ready to tile the bathroom. Floors will be 12x24 graphite tile, shower floor is a hex mosaic, and shower walls and backsplash will be 4x12 white Daltile subway tile. We are using a dark gray grout for all. I am struggling to decide if we want 1/8 or 1/16 tile spacers for the subway. We are tiling the entirety of the large (5'x6') shower, and the walls go up to about 10 feet at the peak. I like the idea of the wider spacer and the drama it adds but am worried it might feel a little *too* dramatic. Maybe the 4x12 tile size can handle it? And do we space the floor tiles the same as whatever we choose for the subway?
