I find it easiest to choose patio od deck flooring to tie in with interior flooring and not fancy trim or pattern since your patio furniture will add lots of color and interest.Is that bench seating all you are planning? IMO you need some moveable seating since fire pits creat smoke that always seems to be going in the wrong direction

Saw a landscape designer video where he said you should spend the money on vertical stuff people will notice (ex. Plants, seating, walls) not the ground. His preference was for simple outdoor “flooring?” (Is that the right word? I don’t know) that sort of disappears and you don’t notice.

I thank you for replying! We have a hot tub, 2 tables, and couch going back on. I am planning other chairs for fire pit, the seating walls are more for decoration/place to put drinks, etc. I agree about not going too crazy with color or design. I want something very light that will go with everything. Here are pics of a patio I think will work?

How hot does it get in the summer? Any kids with bare feet walking on the patio? If so, lighter colored might be better.

We have full sun for morning and shade by 2pm, bare feet will be an issue. I was worried going too light it would get dirty or even stained with German Shepard tracks of our clay dirt :/

I dunno. But whatever stamped concrete you get, when it finally gets power washed, don’t power wash it in full blast. Someone did that to mine and it blasted quite a bit of the finish off and it was rough and didn’t look right ever again.

I’m worried about that too. Lot of pressure to make this perfect and keep it that way. I feel like many stamped patios on web at are dark or too brown, orange or pink. Also those that are listed 95% of time don’t even tell what was used. I wish someone would make a large selection of color combinations that included very light options.

I was in Seattle and my stamped concrete in my shady backyard got slimy with stuff growing on it, dark and yucky. Then the power washing blasted it. It didn’t look good for very long.
