You have a lot of nice things but I think the space has too much stuff. Knick-knacks, accessories and small furniture. What is non-negotiable in this room? What is behind the brick bump out?

I know...after 30 yrs, too much stuff, want to finally do something with this room! How to start with this wall...
The furnice room is behind bump out. The entertainment/ tv / bookshelf needs to stay. Flexible about other furniture in room. Am in process of decluttering- need Marie Kondo!
Feels like too much brick? would drywall over bump out help? would drywall over top 1/2 of wall with fireplace help? How to hang artwork over asymmetrical placement of fireplace? Add mantle? what to do with small built in shelving?

I like the version where you started to make the wall look like a gallery wall. You would have to move the cabinet and add some art to that spot as well, floor to ceiling. Empty out the built-in cabinet, pull out the shelves and see how your large sculpture looks in that spot.
