Mineral Spirits odor in granite countertops

We followed professional advice of using a poultice of diatomaceous earth and mineral spirits to remove oil splatter stains in our new granite countertops. It worked but now the odor is stuck in the granite. Does anyone have a safe suggestion for removing the odor so we can seal it & replace our cooktop?
