You probably can buy slabs online, but you shouldn't. How do you know the slabs are really quartzite without testing? How can you test reliably? Stoners are notorious for passing marbles off as "quartzite".

I am a fabricator. We had a customer last year that purchased stone on line and had it shipped in. It was some of the worst crap I ever had to deal with. We ended up gluing it to 2CM quartz backers just so we could move the pieces without having them fall apart. A great deal of extra cost for the customer and she was not happy.
