How to rinse a bathroom with only shower

last modified: 6 years ago

I have a bathroom with a similar shower only model. I have always just wiped the walls. But nowadays I realized that will make it "look clean" but it truly is not clean. My kids were playing with paint and i noticed the paint was still there near the end of the shower floor and corners and near the entrance even after someone finished showering. It grossed me out. to think that instead of paint what if theres urine and stool even after someone showers. How do I rinse the shower walls and floor after showers. the shower head is movable but not completely. Takes forever to rinse the floor. Help! This is grossing me out. How to completely clean the shower?

Similarly when i clean the walls with comet too there is no way to rinse it off!? I thought I could fill a bucket with water and use it to rinse off the walls and floor but it takes forever to fill a bucket with the shower! There must be millions of people with similar showers only bathrooms . What youall doing? Help!

Get a hand-held shower head. They're very simple to change out and come in many price points.

Wipe it down with a cloth.....

I have hand held showers in all three baths. At this point, I would not be without them!

But I've cleaned at my elderly mothers and resorted to gallon tank sprayer filled with clean water.

Her guest bath small, there was no place to keep it in the bathroom. I had to store in her garage, carry in and down the hall to the guest bath. Sliding glass shower doors, acrylic shower walls, and no way to thoroughly clean and rinse. We did get her personal shower changed out to hand held, but she balked on plumbers fees for the second bath ;0)

morz8, Your mom doesn't need a plumber to change shower heads. it's not much more complicated than attaching a hose to a spigot. It would save you a lot of work.

ooh I like the gallon sprayer .. at least a step in the right direction. Yes the stool or bench sort of thing is on one end of the shower like the one they have in hospitals to sit on if you don't have the energy to stand up and take a shower. But that is gross too if there is no way to wash it. Please suggest good brands of hand held showers with showers.... am at my wits end already dont' have energy to brainstorm best ones. Please suggest some nice brands here. Thank you!

just curious has noone ever gotten this question before? Why would they not put a handheld shower in a walk in shower??? I'm literally grossed out.. need any other recommendations you can give me... the floor needs to be washed out everytime someone showers..

This does not seem to be a hand held shower question, but rather a cry for help....Kids pooping and peeing in the shower, “washing the floor” every time someone showers.

yes the final purpose is of this question is to have a rinsed floor or a clean floor whatever way that can be achieved... yes I am literally crying for help as the floor is stinking nowadays too.. I'm not a clean freak so I am new to cleaning too.. need help

I bought something called a Rinseroo (on Amazon). It looks a little silly - has a very stretchy end that goes over the showerhead (you cannot put it on a tub spout). It has a hose attached. You turn on the shower and use the hose to rinse. Putting it on the shower head can be a little tricky and there isn’t a lot of water pressure, but it is enough to be able to rinse the walls. I’ve lived in my house for over 30 years and I finally don’t dread trying to clean the shower and shower/tub surrounds.

Just a side note... its just not the kids.. the thought that the next person might be stepping iin my waste or by products of my shower is grossing me out.. try it out use paint while showering and then you will see what I mean.. but thank you for the suggestions!
