I definitely need to change the color of the walls! But I was thinking I need to decide about the bed before deciding on the wall colors. Should I consider a color like Benjamin Moore Richmond Bisque on all walls or is that even dated? I do prefer warmer tones.

Oh paint the bed to match the bathroom cabinets I'd say.
I think bisque is too warm.
I would do a cooler tone
Can you pull one from the bathroom tiles with the busy design?

Melissa, thank you! That is amazing. What software do you use to do that? I love the balanced beige and will change out the shelves, lamps, etc. Should the bathroom and bedroom be the same color?

Sherwin WIlliams has the tool I used. If it were me I would paint the bath and bedroom the same color. I'm not sure how the Beige will work in the bath. I'll go mess with it and see

I don't think the bathroom in the Balanced Beige works the greatest. The back splash looks good with the Beige but not the vanity

Thank you Melissa and Peter! So you think I should repaint first and worry about the bed and end tables next? the bathroom is so updated and the bed is honey knotted pine. But maybe once the walls are painted, it will also look better! If I was to paint one of them, it would be easier to paint the side tables as I can carry them out of the room! But am so excited to slap on some paint and see what happens. I should remove the shelves and picture to not be influenced by them for a clean plate!

I think new wall and if needed, ceiling and trim paint would be where I would start. Paint is cheap and it's fairly easy to DIY. Once you do that then step back and see how everything works together.

If you want me to "paint" a different color on your wall let me know because you don't want to make a wrong color decision.

Mellisa, do you think the beige matches the floor in the bathroom too much? I don’t like the gray as it is too cool. Should the walls match the bathroom floor tiles or should there be a contrast? Thanks so much for your help!

Popular Grey is a "warmer" grey. It almost looks beige. The altered pics only give you an idea of what a color will look like.

Head to SW and get a ton of little paint sample cards and bring them home. I think you need something that will work with the floor and your vanity. You could also find a nice white. I think everyone wants white now a days.

I would paint bed and nightstands white. I would also paint BR and Bathroom walls the same color - something to go with tile as said above.

Hello Ashton, do you suggest a creamy antiquey white, a sharp white or a white wash? Am concerned that it will be hard to paint over varnished pine and a washed white will not coordinate well with the blue/grey new cabinets. Thanks for your help!

I think you could get a liquid varnish remover to help furniture take the paint.. I would do a white paint that coordinates with the bathroom counter color. Bring home some swatches to see what looks the best. You can pick up the blue/gray in bedding, pillows or artwork. IMO, white B/R furniture looks classic with almost any color palette.

What is your favorite light color in your tiles? For wall color I would either try to match that or get a lighter version of it. Make sure your lighting is a warm white and get paint samples to try on the walls. Look at colors in daytime and at night. Colors can change enormously from day to night.
