Tall, Yellow Asters With Sparse Petals?

These yellow asters were found growing at a park. They were about ~3.5' tall with flowers a little bigger than a quarter. What are they?

    Not an aster, more of a sunflower. I think it could be False Sunflower, heliopsis helianthoides or a close relative of such. I mainly think that because of the flower bed shape.

    Part of me wants to think verbesina too....and there is a verbesina helianthoides...I hate frostweeds :)

    No, it is NOT an Aster, though like most composites, it's an Asteracea...but definitely NOT an aster (genus) persay.
