30'' gas range recommendation

last modified: 6 years ago

I'm planning to buy a new 30'' gas range. After hours of research online I just get more and more confused. There're just so many brands to choose from and the price vary from $1500+ to $3000+. I really don't know which to buy and I don't even narrow down to a few to choose from. So I come here for advice.

I'm a heavy user of my current range. I cook almost every day and I bake several times a week. However I'm not that pro so wolf/blue-star pro-styled range would be overkill for me.

I wish my new range could have the following features:

  • Reliable, made to last. No repairs for years.
  • If repairs are needed, the company is great about customer service and always has parts on hand
  • Aesthetically pleasing, stainless steel & black
  • High BTU availability as I cook Chinese food a lot using stir fry
  • True self-clean cycle (500+ degrees F for 2+ hours)
  • True convection (third heating element)
  • Designed for easy cleanup

I know Bosch, KitchenAid, GE Cafe/Profile are well reputed but what about Samsung and LG, those are available through Costco which gives me extra 4 yrs warranty for free.

My budget is $3,500 and lower.

Any recommendations and advice would be much appreciated.
