my rubber plant is sick please help....

PLEASE HELP !!!
Hello friends, so I brought this one home about two weeks ago and have overwatered it and as soon I realized it I cut down on it but probably it was too late.
Now my question is as you can see there are multiple stalks coming out and one of them has been affected now the plant is pretty root bound in the pot and I m not sure if I can get that one stalk out what’s the best way to go about this issue and save the plant...
