We put a pool in and have a space about 4’x10’ between the pool deck and the fire pit patio. hot westerly facing sun - zone 5 Massachusetts. We have two dogs that race around and roll on all the plants trying to dry off from the pool - the lavender I put there isn’t going to work. im thinking rugosa rose - too thorny for the dogs and fragrant and hardy. Does anyone have any suggestions or input?
