Dark spots, drying leaves on avocado

Hi!

I sprouted this avocado from seed and it was a healthy house plant until two weeks ago when I moved. It used to be in an eastern window and now it's in a western one.

Little dark spots surrounded by pale green started appearing on the leaves. Then the tips of the leaves started turning brown and drying out . The brown parts spread until they cover the whole leaf and then the plant discards it. This week the plant lost 3 leaves and started sprouting the new set of leaves on top.

Yesterday I replanted the avocado from a plastic pot (it's only been in plastic pots before) to a glazed terracotta pot and its roots look healthy! I also flushed it with distilled water because there was a bit of white around the edge of the seed so I thought there might be a salt build up in the soil. But the browning is still spreading and the top leaves started getting the spots.

Does anyone know what is wrong with my plant? Are the spots and the browning two different issues? Please let me know how I can help it!

so you moved ... changed light orientation ... its stressed ...

then you repotted it.. its stressed ..

the only way to get over stress.. is to water it properly ... and leave it alone.. and see what happens ..

it is stressed .. not hungry.. fert is not a response at this time ...

on some level you are tending toward loving it to death ... just water it properly.. and lets see what happens ...

as long as you preserve the roots .. the plant should be able to regenerate ...

and if not.. start another one ...

ps: you probably shouldnt have tied it to the roof when you moved.. lol ...

pps: since it was stressed from the move ... i would not have repotted it immediately .. perhaps you should have let it get over the first stress ... before inflicting another ....

Yeah...they're a bit finicky. Changes in temp / humidity, etc. often have caused mine to have the leaves turn brown and drop. The past few months I've lost quite a few so transplanted it into a larger pot (thinking it may have been root bound thought that turned out to not be the case).
