I had a client that installed engineered bamboo floors. They had two very large dogs. The floors were scratched up by the dogs.

I'm not a fan of engineered bamboo. Bamboo gains its strength from the THICKNESS of the bamboo strands and the amount of GLUE that holds the bamboo together. An engineered bamboo is a thin layer of bamboo (can be less than 1/4") sitting on a 'core' material (like plywood or SPC or WPC stone core). These layers 'sound' great but bamboo is tricky to deal with. It is tricky. After that it is tricky. And just after that it is tricky.

I would rather see a HIGH QUALITY laminate out of Switzerland or Germany than an engineered bamboo (which is supposed to save people money...and that's NOT good in the bamboo world).
