I have a rose which I got from taking a cutting from one growing in our neighborhood. The owners of the house where it was (and still is) growing told me that it was there when they moved in 45 years ago, and the people who sold them the house told them that it was also there when THEY moved in. I noticed it because the blooms were so lovely, and the fragrance was strong and amazing. So, I took a cutting even though it only bloomed in the Spring. I planted it in full sun, and guess what? The original plant was surviving in the shade, but in full sun the rose blooms in waves all Spring, and all Summer, and most of the Fall.

It has surprised me this week - it is horribly hot here - over 101 yesterday, and will be that again today. Here is a pic of this rose (which may or may not be TROMN - no one knows) which I really, truly, took yesterday, along with a close up of some blooms:
