I purchased a new house and would like to change the light fixture to a Sputnik Pendant in the kitchen. I think this is the most affordable way to modernize the kitchen without breaking the bank. The granite and the backsplash looks outdated but I can't do much about it right now. The kitchen looks darker than it appears in the photo.

I am so nervous and I am not sure if this is a good choice. Please help!
