Help with Living Room Set Up - Coffee Table, End Tables..?

Hi guys! I’m trying to figure out how to set up this living room. The sectional kind of closes in on itself and so I’m struggling with trying to decide what type of coffee table would look good in front of it. I also need to figure out what type of end tables (probably slender end tables or none at all) please help! Any advice for how to decorate this room is welcome! The only thing that is staying is the sectional. The other pieces of furniture I will probably replace.

a few thoughts after looking at your ideabook pictures. I might consider a small round coffee table, I think it will fit better since you have the chaise portion of the sectional. how about a jute rug with a cowhide layered on top. I would also consider a longer console for the tv that goes almost end to end on that wall and then put two table lamps on either end of the long console. it might be neat to have wallpaper on that wall too so there is a statement when you walk in the door. one or two large poufs that can be moved and used for extra seating. add a couple pieces of large art on the long wall. I will look for a few pieces and follow up. bbl. your room will look great!!!

Hi Theresa! This is SO helpful. Thank you for your positive guidance and suggestions. I think this is EXACTLY what I would like. I definitely think a wallpapered statement wall would be very nice. 😍

    I like Theresa’s idea except for a statement wall. I don’t think it’s needed.

Although this sectional is large, it is not overwhelming because of the co,or that you chose.

It looks cozy with enough space for The whole family to watch tv together.

Heres a couple ideas... love the look of the layered cowhide over the jute rug...

LOVE this. Maybe I can do a plant on one end of the couch instead of end tables.

the skinny end table could feasibly work too, yes add a plant for sure!

    Awesome. Thank you so much!

Paint TV wall dark and add gold sconces on wall. Torchiere floor lamp in corner right window behind sofa for height. Nesting tables for coffee tables and drink table at door side of sofa as small. Mix of materials using wood, brass or metal, shapes in unique design. I like the idea of a zebra rug for angularity and texture. Full panel drapes or woven blinds. Happy designing.

Hi guys, you all are amazing. This has been so helpful, I was very stressed about this sectional and styling this room. But now I have a plan. I definitely want to do:

statement coffee table, probably small and roundish.
Jute rug with cowhide layered on top
Long console with lamps on either side and decor with some small gold accents
    Poufs
    Large art on the walls
    And maybe sheer curtains?

    Curtains or drapes

I love the nesting tables Jodie recommended 😍

would love to see the progress as you bring it all together, if you get a chance...

    Absolutely, I plan on it!

This is the coffee table I bought

These are the nesting tables I decided on. I measured and marked the floor

really like the table, but it may be a little large for the area, because of the chaise end, you may want a bit of a smaller one. are you planning to add a chair too by chance? you are in the room so you have a better perspective, but something to think about...

That’s a good point. I just remeasured and I do think it’ll be maybe a little bit too large. I’m going to cancel the order. If you see any other tables that are smaller but this Same style let me know!

what is the size of the one you just cancelled? what would you say the right size would be

this one is 27in, but dont know if it would be too large

    The one I just cancelled:
The reviews say the large table is 36’’ L

The tape measure shows 36’’ here on the floor

I think both the small table and large table together can be 36’’ max

the large table I posted above is 27in across, may be more of the right size

I think so too. I’m just not so fond of that design. Oh well.. I will keep looking

I will look a bit too.

    Thanks 😌

not exactly the same, but a few options

I love the black I just think it would be hard to pull off with the cowhide and jute rug. I’m starting to think I should just do one round coffee table like you originally suggested

Melissa, I love the sofa. At first glance it does seem a bit big for the room but I think it's just a matter of balance. If you used the ottoman as the coffee table with a tray on top. It will disburse the weight. Maybe paint the TV wall Benj Moore Blue Danube and the tray the same color. Putting in a beefier TV console table would help balance out the size of the sofa. You are off to a good start.

I think the black would look awesome with the cowhide and jute rug. just would need to add a little more black somewhere... all is very neutral

have you purchased anything else at this point that needs to be taken into consideration?

    Thoughts?

    Haven’t purchased anything else 😬

love it... you could do a black and white cowhide too.

But I am looking for some black jute baskets to put my extra couch throws in. I know I want black accents so maybe those coffee tables would be good. I’m a Libra so I’m VERY indecisive 😭

    You’re the best, Theresa
I’m going to get the stone and gold table
