I am doing a full remodel on a manufactured house. It's long and narrow. For the roof I am trying to decide between a shed or gable roof.

Shed Roof - Low side would be 9'ceiling height to front side at 10'6" which is facing and opens up to the ocean.

Gable Roof - Sidewalls at 8'6" or 9' to a 11' interior pitch. The space above the hallway would provide a little extra storage. I would leave the pitch open in the bedrooms/ kitchen/ living so these spaces in the middle would have that 11' foot height.

This is located in L.A. so it does not get too hot or very cold.
