OBF-September Natures Gift

September is here. September is unpredictable. Some years, the weather approximates perfection. Other years, the heat of August drags on through September; then again, it can bring rain. our plants around us can feel the shift. This month is to share what is going to seed in your area with a description of the plant. I love exploring the different regions thru my gardening friends. lets sign up by the 7th. then send by the 25th. since these seeds wont get used to next year. except maybe southern states for fall planting. Gives plenty of time to collect fruit ,vegetables or flower seeds.

Yay! I got your last 4 flowers so now I just need 2 more. Who else it getting kind of close?

Sky, your garden is so pretty! And is that a cute little bunny sculpture? That's the only kind that I want in my garden. Beautiful and full of flowers - no room for weeds. 😉

    Rose?

Thank you everyone, I was so happy and surprised to win since I don't think I ever win at Bingo.

Susan, regarding your Wisteria, does it bloom in partial shade? I heard the Chinese wisteria will bloom in partial shade but not the American one. I have always wanted to grow the vine and train it as a tree but I have a lot of partial shade on my property and not much full sun.

I have a shrub rose that produces rose hips. I gathered some to dry and add to an herbal tea mixture I am preparing to prevent colds. I hear they are high in vitamin C.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Susan, I have often thought I should make rose hip jam and see how it tastes like but never got around to it. I have also seen recipes for rose petal jam too that intrigued me. I made some tomato jam yesterday that turned out nicely.

Emily sorry my writing was off but the Daylily is 'Cedar Wax Wing' LOL Wow that was super quick, the guy at the PO said delivery would be Wed.

Shirley, it did say Cedar Wax Wing. I must have missed the autocorrect when I was typing it. I have corrected it now. Thanks for letting me know. I looked up pictures of the flowers and they are gorgeous. Thanks again!

Yes post office is sometimes surprisingly super fast. A couple of months ago, I sent a package and it arrived the next day. Yes, it was to a city a couple of hours from me but I dropped it off in the afternoon and it was there the next day.
