Hello,

We are visiting my husband’s grandmother’s mid century home. We noticed in the last 10 days that after a particular shower is run, there is a very very strong musty smell in some nearby rooms. It dissipates in an hour or so. It is not more acute in the bathroom.

The house has always had a smell of sorts (musty is the very best word I can use to describe it). When we get home from visiting we have to wash all of our clothes and even febreeze our suitcases.

I know we need a plumber. But any guesses on what this could be? Could the must that we always smell be related to whatever is happening now?
