You need to think layers and lots of pillows to achieve a hotel look I think.

This isn't my illustration, but I think it's a good one.

Right now you only have 2 pillows and a coverlet. Add another layer of pillows (maybe Euro pillows) at least and maybe some decorative throw pillows on top of that. Buy a comforter and duvet and either fold that at the foot of the bed or put it on the bed and fold your coverlet at the foot. You can even add another throw pillow, but I think that's probably not necessary.

agree about the layering of bedding to get the hotel feeling. focus on the bed since it is the dominant piece in the room. then get matching lamps for the side tables and art for the room. maybe consider all white bedding with just an accent pillow with color. maybe something like this...

I think white sheets really help give that hotel look! (they're also easier to clean if you get any stains).

I too have a very tiny bedroom with little room for furniture. The bed is the focal point, so I accessorized with lots of pillows as suggested above.

While the “hotel look” is terrific, you need a place to put all the decorative extras in order to sleep in the bed, so be sure there is space between the nightstands and the corners of the room for those extras. Maybe a nice basket in each corner.

This is not a hotel and it has Asian flair, but the simplicity and clean lines would be helpful in your bedroom.

Do you have any other comforters? I would use the coverlet for last and don’t fold it under the mattress.

Most hotels are doing away with all those layers. No place to put all those "extras" when not on the bed and too much cleaning involved. You say your room is small, perhaps more minimal with great accessories ( lighting and art) would make more of a statement than a lot of layers on the bed.

Kelly Hoppen is a favorite designer of mine. Here are a few of her current bedding designs. You will note cleaner lines, fewer pillows and textured layers. Very restful.

IMO a ton of pillows on a bed is a old style hotel it now is understated and this look would look nice with your bedding but I would like to see the rest of your space to really be able to help with the look you are after,I love coverlets so much better than duvets I do like a blanket or some kind of throw at the end of the bed for those cool nights . A soft blue would be good with your wood and also the same color blue for drapes which IMO are a must in a bedroom. Could you post some more pics of your room

I would have suggested something similar to decoenthusiaste. The bed lines and color are similar to yours.

Notice the focus on the wall art placed just above the bed, which visually becomes an expansion of the headboard. Notice also the layering of lights, always a nice touch in any space. The bedding accessories are deliberate and effective.

As far as how to place accessory pillows, how many, etc., there are SO many resources on houzz and youtube. I suggest choosing something you like and copying the look.

I think with the style of bed and it being a small room, I’d head towards more simple and modern bedding or a bit more layered with textures and warm colors. Either will be inviting and interesting in their own way

For hotel look your bed need to be piled with sheets. Give your wall some accents like paint color or texture. Tall table lamps or sconces Drapes, and add an area rug to complete the look

I like the less too. It seems pointless just to have things on the bed only to take them off.
