Do you have any pictures closer up? Do you see any effects on the fruit, or just the plants?

I hope to goodness it isn't late blight. Are the tomatoes ok or do they have sunken patches on them? I would pick them now as they will not receive any more nourishment from the plants where the foliage is dead.

Some of the tomatoes are perfect, but a lot have cracks in the tops. I am planning on doing something with the this weekend. I will get some close ups and post them later.

My early blight always start from the bottom....up. This is an annual event. I know letting the tomato leaves get wet/damp is no bueno! PS Concentric cracks around the top of the fruit can be sun damage.

Cracks are common for inconsistant water, also. (So if it's been relatively dry and then theres a lot of rain all at once, that'll frequently cause cracks.)

Are the tomatoes you're growing bred to be resistant to any diseases? (They'll usually list this in their blurbs or on the packet.) Or have you grown tomatoes anywhere else in your yard?

The tomatoes that look bad are mostly because they are over ripe. I should have picked them earlier. I have used the same spot for tomatoes the last several years and I think that may be an issue as well. The tomatoes are probably not resistant. I just bought various kinds at the nursery this spring.

The fruit doesn't look diseased. Cracked fruit has a much shorter shelf life or vine life, and many times it will rot before it finishes ripening.

The leaf in the middle of the second close picture has concerning spots. I'm wondering if this might be Septoria leaf spot.

It's a fungal disease, and it could be overwintering in your soil, if that's what this is, which would explain why you see it every year.
