I have no clue contractor pricing is all over the map and right now probably not the best time to get small jobs done since so many large projests were put off for so long.Could you just use the one door and keep the space the way it is I am guessing the barn door would not be as attractive as the double doorsCould you maybe post a pic of the space and that wall.. I am for sure not a lover of barn doors on bedrooms. You could maybe check out local handymen who probably could do this job.

We had a wall opening reduced as part of our Reno and it didn’t seem like a huge big deal- but will involve mudding/taping/new paint. Do you have the paint to match the rest of that wall on both sides?
