I have Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo countertops in a very tiny galley kitchen. I love them. They replaced a green/black granite about 2 years ago.

Backsplash is along with wall color the last choices you make.What color is the island stain. What are the floors all of this has to be considered when choosing counters. I for one hate going back and fortth to see the choices so post the pics of those to make it easier for use. I am very careful when mixing grays they can be very difficult to do well. I need to see all the choices of what you have up till now decided post those . BTW make sure all the lighting in your space will be LEDs in 4000K or this job will become even more difficult.You need to see samples in your space not in some show room. Is there a reason you have not looked at granite s IMO so much better than quartz for kitchen counters if you get polished granite it is as close to bullet proof as you can get. It allows hot pots can be used behind the range if you want.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting - floors are hand scraped wood in a mid-level brown with a gray wash (best way I can describe them). The first photo shows the wood floors in our current home's family room (shared / open to kitchen). We intend to pickup the brown tones in the floors for the island stain (similar to Olympus Wenge). The second picture is our kitchen island in our previous home in Indiana. Cabinets in this home were agreeable gray, and they read very cool IMO. Floors are very similar (almost identical) in color to what we have now.

Re: granite... I don't like the look of granite. Too much pattern for me.

I think on the white walls, wait until you choose everything and then choose the color that works with your counters, cabinets, etc. Have you purchased all these things? I feel like you have a lot going on with two different cabinet colors, two different pull colors and a different finish on the lights. What color is your faucet? I think mixing metals is great, but I would probably keep the cabinet pulls the same color and probably use that finish one more time. I love the idea of Revere Pewter cabinets. That is a great choice. As far as choosing countertops, you probably want to go see them in person. I was just in a slab yard last week and was surprised at which quartzes I ended up like more in person than I thought I would. Good luck!

@kelleg69 - thanks for that. Faucet is matte black with brushed brass handle (Brizo, pic here). Pot filler is from same Brizo line, solid matte black. I agree with you on lots going on and considering keeping all cabinet hardware same. I’m narrowing in on Calacatta Nuvo for countertops - going to another showroom today

Looks great! Is that the Viking fridge from your other post? Also, small detail but you could have that white outlet on the island swapped out for a taupe or medium brown just to make it disappear. Good luck with the fridge issue!

your kitchen looks beautiful. which brand did you go with? We are thinking MSI quartz as its cheaper but not sure about the quality as compared to expensive couterparts

HI everyone! We are in the midst of a major remodel and I've reached the point of pure panic about choosing the right quartz countertops for our kitchen. Here are the selections we've made so far:

• Perimeter cabinets: Revere Pewter lightened to 75% and black hardware
• 7.5' x 5' Island: Stained white oak with brushed brass hardware
• Backsplash: matte white subway tile (3x10)
• Island pendant: dark ORB with three glass globes
