You could install a Dovecote at the gable.

We have a split level with a space like that above garage & we hung a large barn star. It depends on your taste & what your decor style is. I like the idea of large house numbers.

How about an arbor? One with a wide beam would look really good.

Answers will vary depending on your budget. Probably the most expensive and most impact change would be to add a trim board across the top of the garage and add board and batten or cedar (look) shingles in that area. Least expensive would be just adding the trim board to break up the mass of the siding. Arbors, other trim etc. would fall somewhere in between on $$'s.

With the openings giving the area a rather asymmetrical look, I would add nothing to bring attention to that space. I would consider painting the garage door a darker color so that it doesn't stand out quite so much, and focus on creating a bright and inviting front entry.

The whole think looks unbalanced. Perhaps a pergola/arbor over the large entry with climbing flowers up it and arching over to the left of the opening. Paint the garage door darker so it doesn't draw as much attention. Here is jasmine
