2 or 5 would be my vote. Compliments the shaker style, but not too modern.

It’s all too overwrought. A simple stainless chimney hood will be far more versatile.

I agree, don't think shaker and corbels are a good combo.

No corbels and shaker and why ashelf at all. IMO those wood hoods get gross and are hard to clean and over time they discolor just from cooking and any of those woild be too big for the sapce.

I should clarify those pics of the corbels are not to scale. Was looking at the 6” tall size.

Here is a corbel with wainscoting which looks like shaker doors. Does it really look that bad? My shelf would be much simpler.

I agree with Mellissa R - corbels and shaker style don't seem to go together. If you do use one I would chose one that is very simple and lacks scrollwork, etc. Good luck!

Derrick- this is exactly the look we are going for. Our range has an induction cooktop throwing off less heat. Having to check with code to see if we can do a wood hood. What is your general geographic location? We’re in LA County ( little flexibility with most things).
