If it is just plain old stainless any other plain old stainless will match I would want to know why no fridge in the pkg.

We almost had this issue but were lucky to be able to go with all Bosch. The sales rep assured us tat the time though hat another brand, don't remember which would be fine.

Can you visit a large showroom and see the finishes are both? I agree with Patricia, that most likely it will be fine if they are all considered stainless.

I do think it may be worth it to see the appliances before you choose the fridge...some finishes on stainless can be quite different..this may be why one was recommended...maybe the contractor can order it for you

Dont know whether this will apply but we have been renting vacation homes for years and there are definitely differences in stainless steel finishes...

Usually all stainless finishes are the same. That being said, I find the Bosch fridge you selected strange looking. They do have a regular french door fridge that is better looking. However, I like the handles to match (or at least be similar). So the round professional looking handles on the KA and the bow and arrow on the Bosch don't harmonize to me. I'd keep trying to find the KA - perhaps not in the big box stores, but a local appliance store.

if you're super worried, is there a way to get order sample scraps of the stainless from Bosch, and hold them up to the Kitchenaid appliances? (or vice versa?)

as for the looks, I really love the sleek finger pulls on that Bosch fridge! I think the different styles look fine together. all of them have the same square angles and perfectly flat fronts. I honestly don't think the absence of handles on the fridge makes it too different. but you might want to see if you can find this Bosch in real life so you can really check it out for yourself.

We also have a mix of stainless appliances. No problem at all.

no two appliances in my (newish) kitchen are the same brand -- picked each based on ratings and features -- and they harmonize great. just find one you like!

I just bought this fridge (and all the matching stove and microwave). We bought from a local appliance store (in Ontario Canada- you posted a Home Depot Canada link I think?). We were told it would be at least 8 weeks, but we were just replacing old ones so weren’t on a huge rush as all were still in working order (somewhat) arrived in two weeks. Might be worth checking around as we didn’t have any issues. We ordered August 18th and arrived before beginning of September.

I wasn't worried about matching my appliances when I remodeled. Ironically I got almost all Bosch appliances but a KA refrigerator.

I got the KA because the extremely knowledgable appliance sales person advised against the Bosch refrigerators specifically because of the construction of the interior.

Helen..that is so true .....that is another thing i always notice...the interiors are very different...but in most cases it is just a few weeks of adjusting to the changes...oddly the only feature that usually matters to me is how much and how useable the space in the doors is...since that is the best place to store all the small stuff and the drink bottles...which are tough to access from deep shelves of the interior

@btydryn - Actually it was the actual construction materials that the salesmen felt were inferior in the Bosch.

The KA I got was almost identical to the slightly more expensive Jennair (they are sister companies). They were side by side in the store and neither the salesmen, my friend who was with me or me could see any difference.

But yes, it does take a bit to get used to a refrigerator. I had a cheap top freezer model before my remodel and now have an expensive kA French door model with bottom freezer. I really miss my top freezer because I could jam an unbelievable amount into the freezer. With the bottom freezer and the roll out shelves, you have to be careful because the shelves won't close if you cram stuff in :-(.

We live in a remote area so we need lots of freezer space as we shop only once a month except for perishables we can buy in our country store...soooo we have a big freezer in the garage adjoining the kitchen ..our little side by side freezer works for daily needs and the rest is a step away in a huge freezer....as we are Costco fans ..which is a 3 hour drive...we are able to store enough for even longer ....which comes in handy in times like these...when the fires around us are limiting travel...

Gotta confess the big freezer was a garage sale find...($200)still pluggin along after 15 years!

yeah, it's super important to see a fridge in real life so you can get a feel for it.

our house came with a brand new samsung, and I hate it. no matter how you arrange the shelves, you can't even fit something as common as a basic brita pitcher. so now our door caddies are crammed and other tall things are inconveniently laid on their side. the deli drawer is weirdly flat. the giant veggie bins waste space (even for us-- we buy a lot of produce). the french doors have to be slammed shut. the freezer drawer doesn't pull all the way out unless you use brute force. I mean, you really have to violently rip it out or otherwise it only pulls out about a foot. ugh.

these are all weird things that I didn't even know were a problem until we owned this fridge. Hopefully the design of a Bosch is much better than that!

Curious what you ended up with, as I am having this exact dilemma. Any update?
