Looking for kitchen design feedback

We are removing a sheer wall between a large combined living room/dining room and a kitchen/family room.

We want the kitchen cabinets/appliances along 1 wall with most small appliances hidden. We may add a kitchen island later if we need additional storage/counter/seating needs.

The kitchen walls/ceiling will be dove white. to the right of the kitchen cabinets will be a 12’ glass sliding wall. To the left is the great room.

The wall on the left or right if the cabinets that will frame the cabinets will be about 36” so we thought the fridge is best to go there to avoid sticking out as much.

Above the kitchen window, I planned for one open shelf that connect to the cabinets and the molding.

Kitchen dimensions are 252” for the cabinet wall by 216“.

Not sure if you have a specific question?
I would put your dishwasher in the other side of your sink.

My question is would you do anything different? Or are there any concerns? Thank you for the feedback about the dishwasher.

Second on moving your dishwasher.

The lack of alignment of the bottom cabinets with the upper cabinets, window, or anything is bothering me. In order to alleviate this issue, I would try to, at minimum, center the kitchen faucet with the left side of the window. Of course, this will only make sense if you have a single bowl sink planned. I think doing this will trick the eye into some semblance of balance/symmetry. Are you planning on a single bowl or double?

I would also have the cabinet to the right of the stove open toward the stove, not away from.

If you don't move the dishwasher, here are some design pointers to consider:

1. If it's actually a shear wall and you live in earthquake country, please make sure you consult a structural engineer.

2. I agree with Glo about the awkwardness of the different size cabinets.

3. Your hood should extend 3" on either side beyond your range.

4. Make sure you have space on the side of your fridge to open the door.
