I don't like the mat finish subway tile at all?

is that a typo? If you don't like the matte tile, don't get it.

If you do like it, yes it can work w/glossy tiles, however, we'd have to see everything together.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't. just depends on the overall look, design and tile choice.

you'll have to post pictures of the shower design and the actual tiles you want to use, along w/the floor tiles and vanity

Thanks Beth, Apologies, didn't explain very well. I love the decor matt tiles for the floor and wall feature which are 200x200 grey mixed patterned tile but I'd like to use a gloss for the additional wall tiles, possibly a white subway vertically laid as opposed to horizontal. I will definitely post some pictures. The room measurement is 2980 long by 1100 wide, with shower at one end (shower is 980 of that length & the same width), so I want to run the pattern tiles the full length and straight up the back wall of the shower. Would it look off having square tiles and the rectangular subway tile laid vertically @ either end of the shower ? Lyn

You can absolutely mix and match, but how about sharing a photo of your selections?
