I love you! I hate you!!! This is the time of year I normally have as many BLTs as I want. All of my tomatoes are green still.

My DD went a little crazy on her garden this year, after buying a new home last year and finally having room to garden. She started about 100 tomato plants under a grow light and couldn't give all the plants away, so she planted some at the garden at her school after giving me about 10. I had already planted mine, and planted hers in addition. After canning sauce and making salsa, I would say I'm ready for the end of the growing season, ha ha. I don't think I could eat another tomato! We did make BLTs several times, yummy.

Green tomatoes don't appeal to me at all, but they look pretty in your inspirational meal.

Green-when-ripe tomatoes are fabulous. On my must-grow list every year is Big Zebra, which the slice you show on the pink slice is very similar.

Did you cook the bacon on the grill after weaving it?

The largest bacon weave I've ever seen! It might fit on one of those artisan flat breads.

Now if only you had a BLT ("Bacon Lettuce and This" variety) tomato. ;)

My tomatoes, green beans, cucumbers and peppers are still producing. Will hope to harvest my pumpkins Friday.
