I always gravitated toward leather, but I now want a material that is lighter and durable.

Cloth? Fiberglass cloth and resin? Miracle Material — light and strong and adds high level paper money and a few gold coins every 18 hours, or more frequently if the owner is a heavy spender.

The purse that I use the most doubles as a wallet, purse, phone pouch. It is very compact.

The last time I bought a wallet, I almost fell over. The prices! But you need something that holds up. Both DH and I have Longchamp wallets. Very well-made, but very costly. I do have a Fossil mini wallet that I use for traveling, since I am not carrying my entire life around in it. You have to see and touch a wallet before you buy. Good luck.

I have a small wallet for travel, which has space for 3 cards, and a zippered area for cash or something small like a coat check ticket....When I'm travelling, I usually just need a credit card, my hotel key card, and a card with my travel insurance info. But when I'm home I have many other cards to include (DL, health ins, library card, car key card, CAA memb, and my hospital patient ID) as well as some cash.

I use one of these and the front pouch is my 'wallet'. This way it's always with me and is never left behind or lifted. I get so nervous when I see women who leave their purses in the front of their shopping cart, open and their wallet in plain sight. Good way to lose it!

The strap is adustable quickly and easily so it can be converted from purse with a short strap, to cross body or a fanny pack. So when I take a walk, I just strap it on and away I go.

Someone recommended a Fossil wallet to me years ago. I use it exclusively and it's still in great condition. I really like it.

You always need to make sure that there are enogh slots for things. That's DH's issue. He needs 8, and most men's wallets have only six.

I've been given the same recommendation and I've looked at them - nice, except for the logo. I'll buy Canadian if there's something I like, though. YMMV.

I stopped using a wallet decades ago once highly organized purses from brands like Hobo and Brighton became known to me. So, I can't really help you.

There are more important concerns than money for me these days.

I hate shopping for wallets, too. Right up there with purses, jeans and shoes for me. I just bought "The Lo" wallet at Andar, on sale, in an effort to streamline the amount of stuff I carry. It's small, but has 11 card slots and room for cash. Good luck in your quest!

Just recently bought a new wallet at Kohls, thought I could tell you what the brand is but I looked and there is no name on it, only a logo which I can't make out. Anyway, it was expensive, like $40 but on sale, and because I used my card (which I rarely do) final cost was $23. I picked out the one I thought was closest to my old one in design. However, when I got home and was transferring cards and such into it - there was no zippered compartment for change! Is this the thing now? I always carry some change. So I used the zippered pocket on the back of it. Now I have to be careful because it comes open sometimes and I lose coins.

ETA: there wasn't much of a selection of wallets either. If I remember there was like four designs in like three or four colors each.
