Ugly as it is, I had a massage chair in my master, next to the window. I loves the massage experience and also being at the window in the morning. I had my coffee there regularly.

The chair is ugly and the room looks a bit therapeutic, but bay was it comfortable. My point? Do what feels good - you rarely often have guests in the Master, (at least I suspect not!)

Another thought is to maybe move the bed to a different wall, so you could have a chaise that was not aligned with the bed...

Thank you jools. The bed has to stay where it is because I had a swing reading lights installed over both beds only last year. i had planned on angling the chaise as well

That said, if you want the chaise and it is comfy, then I say go for it.

How about a chair with ottoman and a good reading lamp. I love my corner in the bedroom and use it all the time. Suggest a neutral chair with a nice cushion and throw (which I use all the time). First picture is for set up and last two suggestions for style of chair for comfort

Try to find the Stressless original by Ekornes and try it out. There are no chairs or chaises as comfortable as these. We watch tv in them, and there is one in the bedroom that is easy to fall asleep in if you are having a restless night.

They make a lot of recliners now that don't look like recliners.

I am actually looking at a Crate & Barrel Swivel recliner. It does not look like a recliner. Sleek lines.

what about massage chair?

I love the Flight Recliner chair from Design within Reach. It's very comfortable and is not bulky. It's a full recliner with intermediate stops to watch TV at an angle. It's very easy to customize to fit many different decors. Leather or fabric; metal or wood trim. I use the chair for reading, napping, and watch TV. I find an ottoman and chair awkward to use. If I move the ottoman away from the chair so that I can sit down easily, it's too far from the chair for me to elevate and rest my legs. It also only has a single position: sitting upright. A recliner that doesn't look like a recliner was my choice.
