I would make the garage door match the garage siding color so that it will not stand out and be highly noticeable. There's nothing particularly appealing about a garage door.

I would avoid making the garage door a highly contrasting color.

Some folks like the trim to contrast with the siding; some folks like the trim to match. Your call!

Thank you for input!! I’m leaning towards a white garage door so that the cream colored shakes and stone veneer are what grabs the eye more. Our lot is longer than it is wide so the back of the house where the garage is is actually the front of what is curbside- so we want it to look nice. If that makes sense!

Visually the garage door is much bigger than the cream building walls on the front of a garage. The white is what will grab the eye. It will scream out -- here is the garage door. I'd go with a cream.
