How does red birch age?

I wasn’t happy with how cherry aged, and I really had my heart set on red birch kitchen cabinets. I finally found someone who says they can make the cabinets in red birch, and for a similar cost as cherry. I’ve seen pictures how yellow birch ages, but haven’t been able to find photos of how red birch ages. Is there anyone with red birch that can show me a before and after photo? The only other thing I can think of is going to a specialty wood store and buying a little piece (if they have it even) to leave out in the sun for a bit.

I’m sorry that I don’t have a photo to back up my comments, but we have red birch cabinets in our large master bath, and over the 16 years since we built the house, I haven’t noticed any change at all in the color. We have cherry cabinets in our kitchen, and they have darkened quite a bit (though they’re still medium-light because we used a golden stain), but the red birch cabinets look like they did the day we moved into the house in 2004. I hope that helps.

Thank you. I’ve seen both of these in my research, but they don’t show me how red birch ages. I’m hoping someone here has a real life example. I’m looking for examples like this, but for red birch. https://www.woodmagazine.com/woodworking-tips/techniques/finishing/color-changing

Did you see this on Houzz? Houzz Question on Red Birch

This flooring web site says red birch darkens, but not like cherry does. Red Birch Flooring It does not offer any pictures for comparison.

Thank you. Yes. I’ve seen those, but they don’t show an example of natural red birch new and aged like I’m hoping to find. I was hoping someone has natural red birch in their home and can provide a side by side photo new and after time.
