I think it looks great! You did a nice job balancing out the furniture and the colors compliment each other very well. I think long panels would look nice here. Maybe in one of your accent colors? Good luck!

I agree with Granite Grannies. One large rod, hang it high and two panels. I think it softens the whole look of a room and can make the room feel taller. Here's a photo of our living room before and after panels. Just inexpensive ones we purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond.

Which way is the window facing? Do you get lots of sun? Are you looking for something that allows light control and privacy?

I love the natural light and don't want to cover it, it's facing West. I just felt like the window was so large and open and it needed something around it to look more put together!

Then I would definitely recommend 2 full height drapery panels to frame the window. If you want a little more softness, white sheers are a great option.

I would love to see that love seat centered with the window. Keep the coffee table with the couch. I can see that right now you just have it all with the rug and that is what it looks like in this room, too. There is room to spread out a bit and I think you will like the extra room, too. The new drapery panels will frame the love seat and look extra nice. The rug might be too small....you will need to play with it and see. Bring the floor lamp along with the love seat and the piece in the corner that is angled.....straighten it on the wall under the picture. Nice job with the art over the couch!!! LOVELY ROOM!

No, the rug will look.....off........with the love seat, which is why I know that is where you have it, but that window behind just needs to be taken in to consideration, too. If the rug needs to stay in the room.....and I understand that......I would like to see you try it the long way with the couch and the coffee table on it. I just cannot think of another way to make it work unless it went at an angle from the corner, but I cannot imagine that now, either.

For sure panels on ends of windows. With a bamboo,shade under them in white. I would go a woven fabric. You could go print hats in your gray ottoman. Also pull rug away from front of sofa should have a 7-10" of woo showing all round. Is love seat right against window? I feel everything should come down a foot. Put tree in a corner ad small table to end of love seat. Put love seat so it's centered in window. bookcase on another wall. Move end table with lamp to that corner floor lamp where table was . More colorful pillows like teal on sofas. Change shade on floor lamp to a dark gray drum style, to update it. Is that a window seat? Don't think panels will work. Use roman shade in same design. A round 24" glass coffee table would work better, with yr arrangement.

I would add a chair where ottoman is. A bright turquoise one big would add color and seating. Furn doesn't need to be on rug.

Okay the rug is the only thing I still don't understand. You think its okay not to touch the edges of the couches? There can be wood floor showing around the edges? In that case, hopefully I can move over the loveseat so it is centered with window. Love all these ideas - thanks!

Yes rug is really too small but in any case should not touch furn. Moving love seat to be centered will balance the room.

Wish we knew more about your room - like what is the sofa facing, where is the entrance and other doors, is this the only window? Lots can be tweaked but the answers you're getting don't take the entire space into consideration. Why not shoot some pix from the window and the sofa so we see all 4 walls? Just us the Attach Images button to add the new pix.

Why don't you try centering the rug with the window/love seat and the coffee table will be at the EDGE of it for the couch? Could we see what that looks like? I soooooo get the expensive rugs and this one is a real beaute!

AMAZING! I had to go back and look at the first pic again and this really turned out well!!! Little things THAT WORKED!

The two seater certainly looks much better centred in front of the windows. I'm not sure of your aspect or what level of insulation or light filtering is necessary for your room, but I will suggest one rod/rail with side and centre drapes. I think it will suit your look. It's already looking great and I like the rug, small as it may be.

One thing you may need to be concerned about is, if there is alot of sun coming in and you don't having any UV protection on your windows you really do risk your two seater fading, high quality film maybe a solar screen roller shade, Hunter Douglas Silhouettes, all these products look great with panel drapes..just a thought.
