What can I plant here?

I installed this plant support in a spot between my yard and my neighbor's. It's about 7 feet tall and has 13 jute strings. (Please look at the support in the back of the photo. The one in the front with the foliage is not like mine) I thought I would grow pole Lima Beans on it, but they refused to climb. Then I tried Scarlet Runner Beans. They died. I'd like to plant an attractive twining vine now, in September or October. I'm considering Black Eyed Susan or Mandevilla, but only because I can get seeds or plants. I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions. The support is in a spot on the west side of my house on the west side of A1A in coastal Central Florida. It gets full sun from about 9 AM until 4 PM at this time of the year. It also sometimes gets strong wind. The "soil" is sand.
