No but you could use it for storage and for stuff that needs to be handy but not used all the time .I need to see where it is in realtion to the rest of the house too.

Elfa can provide a great solution:

I don't work for them, but I just installed an Elfa closet in my bedroom and am seriously in love with their thoughtful design.

You may even be able to install slide-out shelves under the angled ceiling to hold things like gloves, hats, umbrellas.

Dimensions would help plan the space better.

There are different pull out storage solutions for under stairs, but I would really want to see the floor plan and determine if there is a space somewhere to create a proper entry closet.

You may be able hang a bar across the space to the left of the doorway - about 15" from the doorway - walk in and have a bar to hang coats - holds more coats than hooks.

Then have a short shoe storage shelf under the coats. You could have just a couple of hooks on the wall to the right that would hold the coats you wear every day. - One hook per person.

What a great space! I would try to make it work. Even if it means covering your window and adding lighting.

Key to most mudrooms is changing out the coats and shoes as the season changes.

The short space behind the coat bar may be made functional with a drawer accessible from the hall.
