Vintage ceramic fruit...help

This has got to be the weirdest design dilemma. To all of you stagers/designers/decorators, I need your help. I received, as a funny present from friends, a rope of ceramic painted vegetables. These friends come over to our house quite a bit and the inside joke around the veg is fun. It' just not really something I'd pick for kitchen decor, particularly since it's colorful veg. We're doing a sensitive remodel of our 1915 kitchen and our appliances are from 1947. Our color palette is very natural, original antique stained cabinets (med tone), butterscotch walls, soapstone counters, large white wall mount sink, white appliance. Accents colors are soft blues, greens, and some purple. Metals are a mix of antique brass, stainless, and copper. I need to know how to style these so they fit in or look cute. Tall order. Please help. What do I do with these?
