I have 8-foot ceilings and was able to put in lights such as you have there above some very large mirros. It is tight but still fits. I think what you ordered should work fine. My only question with a space that wide is whether you may have wanted wider fixtures, but it's hard to tell without seeing the sizes all next to each other. I have one 5-light unit over about a 7-foot space in width. So, if you have 6 lights distributed over 11 feet, you'll probably be fine.

Try putting outlines of painter's tape in the size of the mirrors where you plan to hang them on the wall. Then you can tape in shapes for either light plan. My sense is that if the side cabinets will go all the way to the ceiling that you might like to have the height and contrast of the horizontal lights over the mirrors.

LD Johnson, thanks for your input...that was what I was thinking that I need the lights on top for scale. I actually have a similar mirror (smaller) in my girl's bathroom so I tried it out. But it will all be different when the wall is tiled, and my builder rightfully so wants to do the electrical (or at least put it in it's place before we tile the whole wall :). Decisions decisions decisions 🤪😉

as an update...I went to polished nickel mirrors (30 x 42) over each sink and similar lights in polished nickel. my latest dilemma is barn closet doors or updated French doors...I like the mirrors, but know they need updating and I feel as though barn doors might be a dying trend, plus I will have to modify my wall to put them in.

I did a custom barn door on my master closet. I keep it open all the time and have plenty of wall space, so it's not an issue.

but if you want something diff, you could do two french doors on the sliding hardware. I did this w/my water closet. Found two raw wood doors, added the glass and stained and painted them
these doors were only 18" each, so w/this option you wouldn't have to have a lot of wall space.

and the door to the actual bathroom is a pocket door w/single glass

We replaced our sliding mirror closet doors with modified bi-fold doors. I do miss the mirrors, but really like being able to walk through the center instead of the sides.
