Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Floor Plan/Layout Options for current bathroom with separate tub room?

Hi all,

Late 70's colonial with the original powder blue tiled from floor to ceiling bathroom with an awkward layout including a large single vanity and a separate room with the blue tub and blue toilet. It's a fairly large space when combined but looking for ideas/opinions on how I should re-arrange the location of items given the strange size and layout, or if it should be left as is. One item to note is that most of the plumbing runs to the basement against the exterior wall near the window, and the area behind the vanity is a bedroom closet. Below is the rough layout currently. Thanks in advance!

If you want to take some of the closet space to give you more room, you may have other options, but I would just remove the second door into the tub area and leave that open. You'll get more light into the vanity area, and still have privacy around the corner.

Can you post photos? Having gone through a lot of bathroom renos, I’d ask first what you’re hoping to accomplish? Do several of you use this bathroom so you need/want 2 sinks? Are you looking for more light? Room for a seperate shower?

Moving plumbing always costs $$$ but could you take out the wall between the 2 “rooms” and move the toilet to the left of the window?
