black gutters and white downspouts?

We just got a new black roof on our freshly painted house. My question is regarding gutter and downspout color. We were thinking of putting on black gutters and white downspouts. The paint color of our house is useful gray by SW. Do you think the black white combo will work? Is there a rule of thumb for color of gutters and downspouts? Thanks for input!

Is your new drip edge back? It's hard to see...and you are leaving the soffit/facia white, right?

Drip edge is black and the soffit will stay white.

I'm also doing dark gutters (and soffit/facia) but my downspouts will be light to blend in with the house. Can you see a sample of charcoal gutter material? Black is quite dominating, since you don't have black windows etc. Your roof reads dark gray in the picture, and the shingles will mellow out within so many weeks and lose some of their initial strong color. Beautiful house!

Gutters and fascia are normally the same color.

Soffits are under the roof -- the part you see from the ground, fascia is the vertical trim.
