One suggestion - turn those four vertical windows into a bank of ganged windows - meaning the windows are essentially viewed as one big window. I'd also suggest instead of the steps and deck build an actual front porch that has a roof on it. The steps could turn 90 degrees to the orientation of the existing steps and lead up to the front door. Would also suggest adding stone to the lower portion of the house to give it a really good base to figuratively sit on.

Those are great suggestions and I completely agree but how would you design a porch with that chimney in the way, could you show me a picture ?
