Why are you keeping the other wall if it's useless?

I don't see why it would be a problem. Take a picture facing both walls.

Who has told you it's useless? Are you sure it's not structural or concealing plumbing?

at the very least, it has electricity that would have to be redone. Plus, are you really looking sideways when you are standing at the sink?

Upside of removal: Opens the space, you’ll have advantage of light from kitchen window.

Downside: you’ll have a more open view to see dirty dishes or anything else unsightly you may have on your kitchen counter.

I don’t think you need to worry about symmetry because of the other wall. However, make sure the wall is not a supporting wall.

For sure remove that whole wall.

Do you have the ability to patch the floor once the wall is removed?

I think I need to know what is is those walls and if nothing major in either then IMO remove them both . But the kitchen one for sure needs to be compltely removed not a pony wall that is the right way to handle that one. Take a picture from further back se we can see the whole space including both walls.

Thank you all for your insight. There is definitely electric running through the wall plumbing I do not know. Not an option to remove the entire wall as the cabinetry is secured to the lower part

those are very odd, in a way that worries me they’re structural. where is your bathroom?

Keep the wall so you can hide any kitchen mess. How about nice art or mural on the opposite side?

Thank you all for the insight. The house is in the midst of renovations, including removing the mismatching backsplash, which is why i pondered wall removal. Seems like it may entail many unknowns, so easier to just keep it. Thank you all for helping me make a decision
