Small backsplashes with tile on top are kind of dated. Most do tile only.

I am not the experience you’re looking for, but I think your first option is beautiful.

emerald black pearl has a timelessness about it. with a white kitchen it wouldn't have to be changed as time marches on..... are the gold strips [define that] and gold range decided upon?

I would not chose any of those. Number one is way too busy and 2 and 3 are from the 1990's.

Agree the 2" granite and tile is a redundant, unnecessary choice for back splash. The first is beautiful--visualizing the impact on your space is sooo difficult. It really commits you to a color scheme. Love your knobs with it.

I rarely see a granite-tile combo that really works. I severely dislike the darkness of Uba Tuba.
You could do one lighter granite for both the counter and backsplash if the veins go in the same direction.

#1 is delicious! I chose a similar design style in titanium granite. Go for the gold! Have fun with it.

Hard to see that combo working. I would consider a more neutral granite. More colors won't work IMO. I would check out a Virginia Mist in a honed finish. Then do white stacked large format tiles for backsplash (no 4" up back granite at all.) Black with your whites and golds would be stunning! This is Virginia Mist honed (sometimes goes by Jet Black).

There is a quadtzite that is a blue gray with gold streaks that would be stunning.

Found a project for you that is the first granite. Although the slab you have pictured is much prettier. If you love it, go for it! You should get something that makes you smile every time you look at it!

That first granite is awesome!! So much personality. Not sure about a plain white tile. It may have to be a smidge warmer or make it as close as possible to the cabinet color.

Here are some photos of directions you could consider for backsplashes: a darker tile, a shite simple tile with matching grout or something in between

I didn't see any pics of your floors so I can't answer whether that stone is a good compliment or not.

I love a very busy countertop - it is a horizontal plane so it somehow seems less intrusive than a very busy backsplash.

We have #2 in our hall bath. It’s terrible. Screams cheap big box store job and sucks the light out of the room. Please don’t use it!

Your first choice is lovely, but for a darker countertop I like Flo’s suggestion. For black and white drama, Beth gave you tons of ideas. The last two you showed us are not commonly used anymore and as Tanya said, they suck the light out of the room. We are all curious about the flooring, which might change a lot of people’s votes.

I think your first choice is fine as long as your tile floors are very neutral with no movement. You can do a 6" granite backsplash, OR a simple subway backsplash if the tile and grout matches your cabinet color.

Do they have quartz? I don't think granite goes with the ultra modern look you are putting in, but there are always ways to make it look better.

Found 'black beauty' marble and artificial marble 'Fine decor' having gold on plain white. May be one of these will look better

The first option would complement a white kitchen I think best out of the other options and it also has less of that speckled, busy look of the other two options. Best of luck!

I haven’t used any of those options at all. The ones you label marble I question. Not sure about that. Tips when shopping slabs. In addition to pictures, get pictures of info on ends of slabs. This is vital info to track specific slabs. They are unique numbers that track every individual slab. Some stone suppliers are less careful about what you get than others. So take care.

Full white would be best of these choices.

out of all your choices listed, I like the black marbles. however, they are marble and will require extra care. I have seen those two black marbles in my own stone yards.

I think you can find a similar black granite and get a similar look.

I also think a charcoal or gray quartz would also work.

These Silestone slabs are about 2K. Fabrication extra. although for your kitchen, total shouldn't be more than 4K.

This is Silver Cloud Granite. (Also look at Shadow Storm,,,it's similar, more gray) This granite looks great w/white and is moderate price. prob a bit more than your other granites.

Didn't you say your floors are beige tile?If so, I would not use black or gray, and definitely not marble for maintenance. Look at quartz options. I thin the speckle white in your sample would work well. That is a completely different style from your first granite choice though. Is your house traditional, modern, or ? You need to know what style you're going for before before choosing materials.

Do you have a piece of the floor and sample of the cabinet color? You should have these with you when you shop for the counters.

I don't think we have seen a picture of your floor... one more piece of the puzzle...

Perhaps use marble instead of granite.

I actually really like the dark black marble pictures above. They look very sleek and modern. If that is a style you would like.
