Sebo gets good reviews everywhere by owners. I seriously looked at them (online ---no local vendor) and ended up with Miele because there is a local independent dealer who sells them *and* repairs them if needed. I could not figure out where a Sebo could be worked on locally.

I had a Sebo upright for years. Excellent vacuum but man, it was heavy. Also changing the bags was something of a nuisance, and they're not cheap. But I loved the pull-out handle!

I live in a major metropolitan area and several independent vacuum shops were happy to service it when needed, albeit that wasn't often.

I compared weight of x7 to other brands. About the same or a couple of pounds more for regular-size uprights. But I've heard that it's easy to move in a straight line but hard to turn corners.
