we have a small bedroom in a log home that does not have a closet. It is getting more challenging to fit a growing boys clothes in drawers. We have a bunk bed system with a hanging rod in the back that is no longer effective and was a poor design to start with. I would like to redesign the room with a few things in mind: 1) two beds to allow for brothers to sleep in same room (if desired) or friend to sleepover, 2) room for one or two desks for school work and/or art 3) room for Armoire for hanging clothes and have a current dresser and 4) fun sitting room to support family night reading.
Room is about 13'x13' with a 10' high ceiling on doorway wall and lower on dormer side. Dormer is wide enough to fit a twin bed lengthwise. Room also has the challenge of two side walls that are angled with support logs, providing two narrow channels of 2-3'.
Thought about twin daybed in the from dormer. Lofted bed on high wall. Desks on the two side walls with the angled rafters. And the armoire and chest of drawers under the lofted bed. maybe pillows, bean bags or comfy chairs under lofted bed posts for family reading.
Any suggestions?
