its a good match but if you are not comfortable with it dont listen to anybody and keep looking its one the item you might change it once and you really need to make sure you go trough all your option

This looks much better then your previous choice. Is it two tone? I would prefer it not to be two tone.

I like the grey since it looks like slate. If it's a wood burning fireplace the grey is going to be better for you with clean up. The beige is also nice and natural stone always has variation in color. It's nice, but might be harder to clean up any soot.

It is not a wood burning fireplace, so clean up is not an issue.
