I would just do sliding doors in the same wood of your cabinets. those white doors really stand out next to them.

you could do some frosted glass w/the oak trim

these are walnut, but if you got them in the same oak it would work

I know you don't have room for a barn door option, but any of these could be done on sliders,

unless you want to try some vintage salvage type of doors

you could try and find a pair of pocket style doors and have them modified to work on the slider.

do you have enough room to push them inward? if not, these could be done on a slider track
or, if you have the room, do two like this that open outward

if none of these work for you, you'll have to buy new doors or have a pair custom made.

Can you mimic the look of the adjoining cabinets? Even extend to uppers, as with your cabinets?

How are you doing a bench with the heating? I agree doors to match the cabinets could work. I honestly would like to see a floor plan of this kitchen/ eating space and the entry to the closet. IMO by pass doors with kids are never good since they will be slammed constantly but I think inswing doors will be an issue just like now but I need a floor plan

I don’t think you really have room for bench seating and a table if that’s what you are contemplating...or is the bench seating to be used for taking off boots before putting them into the closet by the door? Things in a closed closet don’t dry out very well. How many people will live in the house? On the positive side, someone coming in through the back door won’t slam into anyone because the door is glass.

So do you think open mushroom type thing? I was debating some sort of breathable option for closet doors as well ? Louvers or fabric panels?
