I think Carol will receive your cards in Jan 2021. It takes about 2-3 weeks for a letter from US to Canada, 3 hrs driving distance. And I ordered an antique lamp from Canada last year, it took about 3 weeks from Canada to US (before COVID).

K S - it will be a delightful post Christmas present to get all the cards!! When is Ukrainian Christmas. LOL

Deborah - Dang....now I'm going to have to move and go use ANOTHER alias....this keeps happening!! LOL

Apologies to MaryGW -- I just got the card I sent you back in the mail! It says the address is wrong. If you imagine a picture of a cute cat by a Christmas tree, that's pretty much all the card was (so you aren't missing much). I hope you all are having a good start to the new year!

My apologies to Mary as well. My card was returned in yesterday's mail with a note that says "no such number." Sigh. I hope Carol is awash in cards by now!

Summers - I happen to have a bunch of celery in my fridge. But the idea of drinking celery juice makes me shudder. Why oh why am I so fussy. Thanks for the thought. I'll think on it.

A belated but heartfelt thank you to all for the lovely cards. You all really brightened up the end of a gloomy year. And Carol, my cards went out a week before Christmas so I figured it would be late...I was going to wish you a Happy Easter but wound up sealing before I got it done. Maybe I was closer than I thought. And Jen, a great big thank you for putting this together.

I have now had two of my cards returned.... one just came back today... it looks like it was caught in a conveyor belt. It was pretty torn up. Sorry to those who did not receive their cards

Happy New Year everyone!

I've been away from the forum over the holidays - I just don't have good time management skills, I guess. It's kind of all or nothing with me. If I'm to get all my decorations up and cookies baked and gifts wrapped then I can't spend the time on the computer or nothing will get done! So, my apologies for ignoring my favorite forum. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas season. It sounds like some beautiful cards were exchanged. Maybe I can join next year.

Now I need to get back out in the yard and prepare for all the new roses I have on order!

I got your card no problem Sharon , you just never know with the post office! I guess In the grand scheme of things , at least it wasn’t a mailed gift card or package.

I got cards returned that were supposed to go to Mary and Sharon... boo hoo. Maybe I'll send valentines instead...

I double checked the address and they were correct..... don't know why the two I sent did not make it..... Odd I sent two cards to my mother-in-law on the same day.... one a birthday card and the other a Christmas card. She got the Christmas card before Christmas, and her birthday card yesterday....... And I handed them both to the mail person...... I don't know what happens to the mail any more..... It isn't like they have to deal with all the things the pony express riders had to deal with... I think Ben Franklin is rolling over in his grave.....

I'm experimenting with going on the computer, and I'll see tomorrow if my vertigo returns in full force again. I'm crossing my fingers.

I got my (probably) last 2 cards the other day...from Stephanie and Deborah!! I think we had 11 cards to send out...I got 12, because Joey sent me two!!! Thanks Joey!! And a special thanks for all the wonderful messages!!! This was a delightful experience!! Great idea, Jen!!!

Dang it ! I am so sorry to hear that. It is the worst ! So debilitating and just plain no fun.

Prayers that you can dump the vertigo once and for all

Kristine - it never really totally left. And now, after being on last night, I'm a lot dizzier...so I think I'm going to have to be off any site that I have to scroll through things. I can read chunks of text...but the scrolling is horrible...so I'm going to be off the rose forum for a long time. :( :( :( I have to check it out with one of my eye specialists. I'm going to miss everyone here...but I can't go back to having terrible vertigo. :( :(

Carol, I'm so sorry about the awful vertigo. I assume you have an otologist (ear specialist). I know you have had some diagnoses years ago, but did any of the docs check out the possibility of Meniere's Disease? Have you had any MRIs of the temporal bone area? Any possibility of a non malignant tumor in the temporal area? I need to email you. We're all going to miss you so much. I'll be checking on you--sorry to be so remiss on that. Diane

I am so sorry that you are going to have to take a break but nothing is worth having vertigo.

My eyesight is getting so bad that I just cant read the long posts anymore. But eye strain is not as miserable as being dizzy.

Maybe some new tests are needed

OK, so if you got cards returned one of them was probably mine. The address on the list said 2240 Lakeland and it should be 22400 Lakeland. I tried to correct it on Jen's email but it was already late when I caught it myself. No worries. Weirdly a couple of cards did make it with the wrong address, lol!

Carol I will miss your wonderful and lively posts but mostly I just want you to feel better.

Oh my God. I missed this entire thread. I only now stumbled upon it. I think the idea of sending out cards was amazing. Next year, I will participate since I missed it this time!

Awwww...thank you everyone!!!! I actually went for a 10 minute walk today and didn't end up with terrible vertigo. So I'm thinking that in a few weeks, I may be able to come back. But not now. You are all the BEST!! :)

I just was beginning to worry that you really WERE part of some dark conspiracy to withhold mail from you! I only got out 2 valentines this year -- my stepmother's fall and hospitalization and my trip up north happened right when I would have sent them out. But I had sent yours early because I knew what a debacle Christmas was! So you & my sister got valentines. That's it!
